Reid Berdanier: Rberdani@syr.edu
Junior - Mechanical Engineering
So...This will be my third season on the SU drumline and my second playing in the snare section. I am a junior in the Mechanical Engineering program hailing from Ohio (and South Dakota...long story). In any event, I also participate in the Bowling Club, Recreation Services Ski/Snowboard Program and a number of programs within the College of Engineering. I love working out, running, biking, hiking, swimming, golf, ping-pong - you name it, I've probably done it. I am really excited about what this marching season will have to offer, both for our amazing drumline and the band as a whole. Basically, I wish you all a good summer and hope to see you in August!
Gianna DiFrancesco: Gndifran@syr.edu
Junior - Chemistry
Hello Drumline! I can't wait for this upcoming season, it's going to be wonderful. To the rookies: welcome to the line and to the vets: rock on! Feel free to email me with any questions/concerns, see you in August.
Casie Goodwin: Cmgoodwi@syr.edu
Senior - Paper Engineering
Hi everyone! My name is Casie Goodwin and I will be the section leader for the bass drums this year. I have played first bass drum for the past three years and I will be a senoir this year in Paper Engineering at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. I know that this year is going to be a great year for the drumline and the SUMB! If you have any questions over the summer, please feel free to email me at cmgoodwi@syr.edu or get a hold of me on AIM at bottombasscase16. I hope you have a great summer and don't forget to practice!
Ken Hom: Kmhom@syr.edu
Junior - VPA Music Education
Hey everyone! My name is Ken, and I have been on the drumline for two years now playing snare. I am really excited to have you all be a part of the group this year. We always can use more triangle players! (just kidding!) I have been away for a semester studying percussion in Strasbourg, France with the SU Abroad program, so that makes coming back even greater for me! I know this will be another great season for the SUMB and I am glad that you decided to take part in it. Good luck with the auditions!
Hans Spicer: hhspicer@syr.edu
Senior - Interior Design, Fine Arts
Hello! My name is Hans and I am thrilled to be one of your five section leaders in the SU Drumline this upcoming season. I am going to be a senior Interior Design major in the College of Visual and Performing Arts and no, I do not pick draperies or fluff pillows so please don't let HGTV fool you. I am from Southborough, MA, a small town located in Central MA about 30 minutes west of Boston. I picked up a pair of sticks in the fourth grade and have been playing ever since, playing with the SU Drumline since my freshman year at Syracuse. I am excited for my last year with the SUMB and you should be excited for your first. Enjoy the rest of the summer, stay safe, and play some music.
