C O L O R G U A R D The Pride of the Orange Syracuse University Marching Band (SUMB) Colorguard The SUMB will host a 3-day information/tryout session to assess the skills of potential colorguard members.  Tryouts are intended to be informal and low stress and for that reason are set up in a practice-like setting.  Interested students must attend at least one of the 3 sessions listed below - attendance at 2 or more sessions is preferred. Informational Meeting & Tryouts for the Fall 2010 SUMB Colorguard Sat.   4/24  9:00am-11:00am Sun.  4/25  1:00pm-3:00pm Sat.   5/01  9:00am-11:00am Location:  Carrier Dome - Meet by the blue garage door near stadium control 5-10 minutes before the time listed.   Previous colorguard experience (at least 1 season) is required, whether in a marching band, winterguard, or parade band.  Candidates will be asked to perform basic skills including a toss and will learn a short routine.  Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in and sneakers.
