Mrs. Janet Ashworth
Administrative Assistant

Janet Ashworth joined the staff of the Syracuse University Bands Department in 1985 and has held her current position, Administrative Assistant, since 1995.

A mother of two S.U. graduates (one a former member of the SUMB tuba section) and four beautiful grandchildren, Janet graduated from Syracuse University in 1999 with a baccalaureate degree in Psychology and Child & Family Studies.

Janet has membership in two academic honor fraternities, the Golden Key Honor Society and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. She was also inducted into Kappa Kappa Psi, the national band service fraternity, as an honorary member in 1987. The following year she became an honorary member of Tau Beta Sigma, the national service band sorority. She served as sponsor to TBS for four years before resigning the position in 2004.
